Eight time Emmy Award-winning composer and flautist, Kat Epple, has released 14 CDs of original music, both as a solo artist, and as a member of the groups, Emerald Web and White Crow. Her ninth album, "Catspaw" was nominated for a Grammy Award. Kat's music is a blend of many styles including: Impressionistic, ethereal, jazz, classical, new age, celtic, electronic, latin, island and world music.

Kat also composes and produces film and video soundtracks for "National Geographic", "Nova", "Guiding Light" and more. soundtracks page.

Live performances include: Guggenheim Museums, National Gallery Washington, DC, Palazzo dei Diamanti, Italy, NYC Metropolitan Museum of Art, and The Hollywood Palace. Kat is also available to play at events live performance page


 

She has traveled to the far reaches of the globe including China, Africa, Russia, The Amazon, Europe, Peru, Mexico, Japan, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean, to learn of the people, natural environment, and the music of other cultures. She uses music in her work toward peace, environmental, and humanitarian awareness, and has amassed a large collection of flutes from cultures around the world, which she features in her original compositions.
