"Works in progress". Emmy Award-winning
and Grammy nominated flautist and composer, Kat Epple in Concert with special
guest musicians, performing music from her new albums.
This will be a rare opportunity
to hear Kat Epple, live, in a concert setting, where she will be playing flutes
from around the world, including Celtic flute, Native American flutes, African
flute, Suling, and bass flute. Special guest performers include a variety of
musicians with whom she is currently recording albums. Musical styles move
musically from a cool Celtic stream, to the jungles of Africa, and include
Smooth Jazz, Latin, Impressionistic, World, and New Age elements. Kat performs
live in concert only once a year in Southwest Florida, and as with all of the
events she produces, this one should be inspiring and fun.
This concert is a fundraiser for Florida Repertory
Theatre, and is Monday, February 26, 2007
at 8pm at the Arcade Theatre, 2267 First St, downtown Fort Myers . TICKETS are

Special guest musicians scheduled to appear are: Keyboardist Chuck Grinnell,
Harpist DL Turner, Percussionist Nathan Dyke, Guitarist/bassist Ted Myerson,
bassist Miko Amore, performance artist Christar Damiano, and more to be announced.
Kat has released 14 music albums internationally on various record labels,
and composes film and television soundtracks for National Geographic, Nova,
CNN, The Guiding Light, and NASA among others. Kat's live performances include:
solo performances at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC, and Spain, with Symphony
Orchestras, The National Gallery, Washington DC, concerts at the Hollywood
Palace, Palazzo dei Diamanti in Italy, a concert tour of Russia, Naples Winter
Wine Festival, with Dance Troupes, and for many art openings. She has traveled
to the far reaches of the globe including China, Africa, Russia, The Amazon,
Europe, Peru, Mexico, Japan, Costa Rica, and the Caribbean, to learn of the
people, natural environment, and the music of other cultures. She uses music
in her work toward environmental and humanitarian awareness, and has amassed
a large collection of flutes from cultures around the world, which she features

Peace and Flambé: An
Art Happening. "It's not just an art show, it's an adventure". This
unique event will be filled with art, music, and surprises, and it
will showcase works by three world-renowned artists: sculptor Lawrence
Voytek, painter Michael
St. Amand and musician Kat
Epple, who are the vanguard of their respective media. These
three long-time friends, who will be premiering new artworks and
re-visiting some of their classic pieces, are collaboratively creating
a transitory celebration of art, peace, and volatility. This one-day-only
innovative art incident.
